- My name is Donna Clair. I live and paint in Taos, New Mexico, a well-known artist's haven nestled in a lovely valley surrounded by mountains and beautiful wilderness areas. I moved to the high desert country of the Southwest in 1967. For many years I lived in Santa Fe and then moved to a horse ranch on the outskirts of a small Hispanic village high in the Sangre de Cristo mountains called Truchas . For the past twenty-five years I have lived and painted in the Taos Valley.
